Two Days in Warsaw
Day one: the Old Town and Royal Route. Day two: Praga across the river, a museum, and Łazienki Park.

Two days lets Warsaw show both of its faces: the meticulously rebuilt left bank on day one, and the never-destroyed right bank — Praga — on day two, plus room for one of the city's major museums. It's the itinerary length most first-time visitors find genuinely satisfying rather than rushed.
01 · Day One
Old Town & Royal Route
Castle Square and the Royal Castle
Start at the Royal Route's northern end. Go inside the castle if history and the Constitution of 3 May story interest you.
St. John's Archcathedral and the Market Square
The Old Town core — take your time, this is Warsaw's most photogenic quarter.
The Barbican and city walls
A short walk north for the rebuilt fortifications, then loop back.

Praga, a Museum, and Łazienki
Cross to Praga-Północ
Take the M2 metro or walk across a bridge to the right bank, which the war largely spared — the pre-war brick fabric here is original, not rebuilt.
Koneser and street art
Explore the former vodka distillery, now galleries and cafés, and look for murals along Ząbkowska Street.
Lunch in Praga
Try one of the district's independent kitchens for a different side of Warsaw's food scene.
Cross back and choose a museum
Pick one: the Warsaw Uprising Museum in Wola for WWII history, or POLIN for the history of Polish Jews.
Łazienki Park
Finish the sightseeing with a relaxed walk through the park — the Palace on the Isle, the peacocks, and the Chopin Monument.
Dinner and a final evening walk

Is two days enough for Warsaw?
Two days covers the Old Town, the northern Royal Route, one museum, and a real look at Praga — a solid, well-rounded first visit. Three days adds room for Wilanów Palace or a day trip.
Should I do Praga on day one or day two?
Day two works better for most people — it lets you build energy on the historic core first, then use a fresher second day for the longer river crossing and museum visit.
Can I fit a day trip into two days?
Not comfortably alongside this itinerary. If a day trip (Żelazowa Wola, Łódź) is a priority, consider the three-day itinerary instead, or swap out Praga for the day trip.
