What Love Warsaw is

Love Warsaw is an independent guide to Poland's capital. We organise the city around the Royal Route that threads the Royal Castle to Łazienki Park and on to Wilanów, the neighborhoods you actually choose between — Stare Miasto, Śródmieście, Praga, Mokotów, and the rest — and the practical questions that decide a trip, from the airport transfer to which day trip is worth the train. We favour a few well-explained pages over an endless directory of pins.

How we choose what to recommend

• Usefulness on the ground — does it make a real Warsaw day better, not just longer?
• Reachability — can you get there on foot, by metro (M1/M2), tram, or a short regional train, and how much time should you actually set aside?
• Historical honesty — Warsaw's Old Town is a post-war reconstruction and the Uprising and Ghetto history is central to the city; we do not flatten that into generic "charming old town" copy.
• Honest value — we flag milk bars (bary mleczne), free viewpoints, and what a given museum ticket actually includes.

How we handle facts that change

Some of what you need to plan a trip is genuinely perishable: admission prices, opening hours, transport fares, and festival or market dates. We do not pretend these are fixed. Where we quote one, we verify it against the official venue, ZTM Warszawa (the transport authority), or Warsawtour (the city's tourism portal), record it in our facts-and-sources log, and link the source on the page so you can re-check it. Where something is seasonal or genuinely variable — a museum's free-entry day, say — we say so plainly and point you to the source of truth rather than printing a number we cannot stand behind.

Freshness & authorship

Each guide carries a real editorial review date in its page metadata — the date we last checked its facts — rather than an automatic file timestamp. Articles are written and maintained by the Love Warsaw editorial team and attributed to the organisation; we do not invent named personas or fake bylines. If something is out of date, the fastest fix is to tell us with the page URL and the change.
